Due to unforeseen circumstances Keswick eventually fielded an 11 man squad which fought hard to earn a point in an action packed 6-6 draw with Lymm 1s.

After successful cup victories over Lymm in recent years, Keswick 1s were confident to get their first League result against Lymm in an away fixture at the Lymm Leisure Centre. With an excellent playing surface and fine weather, Keswick took to the pitch for the first time in their new white away kit. Unfortunately, due to a lack of umpires Luke Heap kindly gave up his place in the team to umpire the game; also Keswick were without Paul Randell who withdrew due to illness, and Robert Owen who would go on to suffer a hamstring strain just before half time, therefore Keswick played most of the game with only 11 players.

The game started and Keswick confidently controlled the pace of the game, however, against the run of play Lymm were able to steal an early lead. This was reinforced with a penalty corner awarded to Lymm, against the run of play, which they slotted home. 2-0 down, it didn't take long for Keswick to respond. Robert Owen played Mark Proctor into the top of the D, who then skilfully eased his way past a handful of players to slot home Keswick's first of the day. A few minutes later, Keswick were awarded a penalty corner. The ball was injected to Thomas Morgan at top D who drag flicked the ball with tremendous pace but just whistled slightly over the bar. Another penalty corner was awarded moments later, this time Thomas played the ball to Rob Cook on the right who flicked the ball easily into the net. 2-2 at half time.

After the break, Lymm quickly went 4-2 ahead. A stunned Keswick took a short while to respond, but goals from Rob Cook and Mark Proctor levelled the scores at 4-4. But Lymm edged ahead again making it 5-4. Keswick were awarded a penalty corner; Thomas launched the ball towards the goal and Rikki Barnes was on form to neatly deflect the ball into the roof of the net. Rob Cook added Keswick's 6th goal, and completed his hat-trick, with 5 minutes to go. Keswick looked on form to win the game, having looked the stronger team for most of the game. However, it was not to be when Lymm managed to squeeze in a late equaliser.

Next week, Keswick 1s entertain Southport 1s at home where hopefully Keswick can return to winning ways.
