Keswick tournament Sunday 10/11/24
Another fantastic advertisement for our sport as Keswick Mini’s take on their second tournament of the season.
KHC U10's
U10s were ready and eager to put all their hard training in to practice.
With games against some strong teams from Wigton, Penrith and Carlisle, U10s held their own and played some fantastic passing hockey scoring team goals throughout.
Special mention to debutants Mr Mylo (age 4!) and Toby. Both showed nerves of steel from the off and got stuck in with some fantastic tackling. Both even managed a goal line clearance each!
Huge well done to Robin, Pip, Mylo, Truly, Toby, Kane, Will, Austin and Thomas!
KHC U12's
After having the first game off, U12s ground out 6 games back to back against Carlisle, Penrith, Wigton and Windermere improving as each one went by.
It was a joy to watch them all play as a team. Shouts of encouragement from back to front and subs on/ off to keep the legs fresh.
Constant passing and moving kept the opposition guessing and even when backs were against the wall, Kane was on top form with some outstanding goalkeeping saves.
Special mention this week goes to Kate and Caitlin (double trouble). They never stopped running and showed real composure when tackling/ moving the ball around the pitch, brilliant work girls.
Well done to Kate, Ali, Caitlin, Lucy, Rosa, Blair, Leo, Hayden, Quinn, Kane and Robin!
Thank you to the grown ups for showing up and supporting on the sidelines, even in the cold and wet!
Also a huge thank you to Honey W for giving up her Sunday morning to come and have a go at some umpiring.
Next tournament is at Carlisle on 24/11 timings TBC.
