There is very little to add to our roving reporters filed report this week so here it is -
"Sunday was right up there with one of the best festivals we’ve hosted.

I’m sure you’ll agree that everything that happened on the pitch was played in the correct spirit and off the pitch was a lovely family friendly atmosphere. ?

?Keswick tournament Sunday 30/03/25 ?

Finally the weather was on our side as Keswick hosted a fabulous morning of hockey in the warm spring sunshine.
Welcoming teams from Carlisle, Kirkby Stephen, Penrith and Wigton, Keswick were determined to put all their hard training into practice.
We had great numbers in the U10s this week, enough to split in to 2…
Keswick A;
Goalkeeper Dylan lead from the back with lots of great saves and vocal instructions to keep his defenders in check.
Truly, Toby and Mylo stood strong in defence and did brilliantly well considering the height and age difference of some of the opposition!
Will never stopped running and showed off his silky skills, not letting the ball leave his stick and playing passes at the right moments.
Special mention to debutants Lily and Emily as they got stuck in and weren’t overwhelmed by the occasion. They throughly enjoyed their first ‘proper games’, coming away with red faces and huge smiles!
Keswick B;
What little super stars they were!
A few got injuries but played on showing great reliance!
Bryn was a rock in midfield, breaking up play and making sure nothing got past him. A fantastic defensive effort!
Thomas was a wall at the back, standing strong and making some brilliant goal-line saves to keep the team in the game.
Charlotte showed incredible determination, powering through tackles and driving the team forward.
Pip did what she does best, non stop running and letting her teammates feed off her infectious energy.
Robin displayed amazing vision, always spotting the perfect pass and keeping the team moving.
Niall, on his debut, showed no fear against the big kids, throwing himself into the game with confidence and energy.
Rowan was a real attacking threat, flying down the wing time and time again, putting the opposition under pressure.
A huge well done to Mylo, Pip, Lily, Emily, Truly, Rowan, Will, Robin, Thomas, Toby, Bryn, Niall, Charlotte and Dylan! ?
Keswick U12s boasted a strong squad of 12, allowing them to constantly roll on and off with substitutions and keep their game pace high.
Goalkeeper Kane was always ready when called upon. Ensuring his saves were accurately carried out and his kicking clearances were long.
The all girls defensive unit of Charlotte, Lucy, Rosa and Caitlin did really well with their tackling and forward passing, allowing the midfield and attack play with freedom.
Harry and Seb showed their strength in midfield, tackling and offloading to Rowan and Quinn whose pace was unmatched.
Zac and Leo ran a mock up front, great skills and link up play lead to some wonderful build up play and team goals.
Special mention to Hayden today as he took a nasty knock to the knee and showed great resilience in trying to continue. Rest up and come back stronger Hayden!
Huge well done to Leo, Seb, Charlotte, Rosa, Caitlin, Lucy, Quinn, Zac, Harry, Kane, Rowan and Hayden. ?
As ever, a big thank you to all you grown ups for bringing the kids and all the encouragement on the side lines. It goes a really long way! ?
Thank you to all the coaches and umpires for giving up their morning and helping the day run smoothly. ?
Special mention to oracle Nichola and team for running the first ever KHC Mini’s tuck shop, it went down fantastically well and raised some vital funds to go towards the running of the Minis and Junior sections. ☕??
See you at training on Thursday!
Shaun ?"
